Blanks (Pucks) made of plastic

Blanks (Pucks)
If possible, prototypes should be made from the same material that is planned for later series production. For standard materials such as PMMA, it is often no problem to buy the appropriate material, e.g. in the form of sheet material. Nevertheless this is often difficult with more exotic materials.
We offer blanks made from the following plastics:
- COP (e.g. Zeonex K22R, Zeonex K26R etc.; we also have remaining stocks of blanks made from Zeonex E48R and Zeonex 480R)
- COC (e.g. Topas, Apel)
- OKP
- PC
- PA
- PMMI (PLEXIMID)
other materials on request.
We have various moulds in our possession so that we can produce blanks cost-effectively:
- Diameter 38mm, thickness 10mm
- Diameter 80mm, thickness 12mm
- Diameter 150mm, thickness 30mm (current maximum dimensions)
We use our milling machine for smaller sizes. Larger dimensions are also conceivable in principle, but involve more effort.
We have some blanks made from the above materials in stock. If no parts are in stock, these can usually be produced within 1-3 weeks.
To ensure that the subsequent prototypes are of the best possible quality, we attach great importance to ensuring that our blanks are free from impurities (e.g. blacks spots, streaks etc.).
On request, the blanks can be tempered in our tempering furnace, for example to reduce internal stresses and thus improve stability and dimensional accuracy.
